Book of the Day Official Review by Bookie Books: Waterworks - January 27th

Review 1: Jack Winnick is back with the fifth and last series, Waterworks (Lara and Uri Book 5). This particular episode is about Eddie Moskowitz who went to work on a normal day at the Aqueduct Filtration Plant in Los Angeles when he noticed that the ever active goldfishes were dead alongside dead birds outside the tanks. As investigation went on, it was assumed that the water contained polonium, a very dangerous material and a sock was also found which was said to have been made in Iran making them believe it was just another attack. It was then Lara Edmond and Uri Levin heard of the news while on a vacation. Will they find the actual thing behind all this and still make it? Read this story to have a feel of discovery. Rating: 4.5/5……………. Review 2: Waterworks by Jack Winnick is a very interesting story about the drinking water of Los Angeles being poisoned by a harmful substance by terrorists from Iran. Lara and Uri began searching for the remedy to the underlying issue as even the lives of the people of Los Angeles was as stake. I recommend this book for adults of 18+ because of the several scenes of violence but I still enjoyed this book overall. Rating: 3.5/5…………………. Review 3: Lara Edmond and Uri Levin (a married couple) were on a vacation when they received a call from the FBI office informing them that the drinking source of water was contaminated by the rare and very harmful piece; polonium. Though there were some typos, the book was still so much to compliment as the tension grew as each page passed by making the book very entertaining and intriguing. Rating: 4/5…………………….. Review 4: As husband and wife, Lara and Uri had been expecting a child for long. Their doctor told them to go on a vacation to forget about their problems when the phone rang; a water plant had just been poisoned by a radioactive material called Polonium. Eddie, who discovered this tried to find out what it was but died shortly after. After much investigation, the plot was understood to be masterminded by an Iranian secretary to eliminate Israel and the Jews. I really loved the aspects of the story because it was detailed; lacking not even the smallest information. Rating: 5/5……………………………. Review 5: Polonium-210, a dangerous substance that was put into the nation`s drinking water in Los Angeles becomes a threat to the lives of the residents. So on a whim, FBI agents (a couple actually) goes investigating the cause of the plot. Author Jack Winnick sums up the story by making the book well descriptive and involving some fictional details to create an atmosphere of jittery and breath-taking moments. It gives a good effect on readers but vicious turbulent scenes which gives a bad light between Iran and the US. Rating: 4/5…………………………… Review 6: Just a vacation? I don’t think so. They have to go on with their job; investigating the cause of a poisoned water plant in the ever-busy city of Los Angeles. Lara Edmond and Uri Levin aimed to take off their worries but they never knew what was to come. With the mission of finding the truth, the result all pointed to the Iranians fueling another attempt to take the lives of Americans. This story gets you to the edge of your seat second-by-second as you read on. I approve this book if you want to read something between fiction and non-fiction. Rating: 5/5…………………… Review 7: This novel is about the Iranians plan to poison the water supply of Los Angeles. Fortunately enough, Eddie Moskowitz got to know their plan and the US FBI agents, Lara and Uri swung into action by investigating the issue to the root through gathering of information and the hoodwink of the Iranians. The author Jack Winnick adds extra details making it easy for the reader to understand. I really like this novel and highly recommend it to science and mystery book lovers. Rating: 4/5……………… Review 8: Jack Winnick’s Waterworks is an action-paced novel about undercover agents and couple Lara Edmond and Uri Levin who risked their lives to find out what actually resulted in the contaminated water in the Aqueduct Filtration Plant in Los Angeles and save the residents in the area from the deadly attack from the terrorists in Iran. It made me feel like the book shouldn’t have ended soon, great read just for some hostile parts and gore which makes it feel a bit horror. Rating: 3/5………………..
