Book of the Day Official Reviews by Bookie Books, January 30th - A Few Trivial Felonies

Review 1: this is an interesting story about Rachel who is tired of her job as a counselor and her husband Nick who was forced to retire early. So, Rachel had to resign from her job and settle in Oregon. Rachel soon became friends with their neighbor which her husband at an old age retired. They wanted to see a perfect view of the sea so they used a saw to cut down the numerous trees- a crime. Rachel’s husband became sick and died which made his pension stop. They entered the business of becoming freelance criminals just to earn money. I really enjoyed this story as it was intriguing and entertaining. Rating: 5/5……………… Review 2: A few trivial Felonies by Sandra Sperling is a novel featuring Rachel, who quit her job in Minnesota and moved with her husband who retired at an early age to Coastal Oregon. She became friends with their neighbor, Ruth. Soon after, Rachel’s disband died and Rachel and Ruth went into an illegal business but will they make it? Rating: 4/5……………………. Review 3: Sandra Sperling`s book, A Few Trival Felonies is all about Rachel`s life. From quitting her job to entering an illicit business after her retired husband died. On the other hand, Ruth, their next-door neighbor met with Rachel at Crusty Beach where they discussed their personal life experiences. As I read through the book, it seemed as if the story was to end but it was actually starting another point which really confused me. So, I didn’t really enjoy the book. Rating: 3/5………………. Review 4: Rachel was tired of her job. Her husband was by all means forced to retire at an early age. They decided to move to coastal Oregon. Rachel`s husband, Nick only received little pension and so after some time, Nick fell sick and died. Rachel met Ruth, her neighbor but engaged into a very terrible business; free-lance criminals. This book was very funny and at the same time, I liked the characters and the role they played was just perfect for a cinema movie. Rating: 5/5………….. Review 5: Rachel and Ruth were friends. Rachel`s husband died shortly after his unexpected early retirement. Ruth on the other hand had a very much old and retired husband. Soon, the source of income went really down for both parties so the two friends decided on another idea. They had to survive on the crime of committing little things that breaks the law – freelance criminals. But will it be good for them in this or will they change their wicked ways? Rating: 4.5/5……………….. Review 6: One`s job can just look so boring and easy to quit. Rachel had to quit from her counseling job because of this. So, her and her retired husband, Nick, migrated from Minnesota (where she lived) to coastal Oregon. There, she met Ruth (who later became her friend) a new neighbor with her retired husband. Later on, sick Nick died. What started with just one crime - cutting trees to have a full sea view, ended in committing freelance crimes in order to make ends meet despite the fact Rachel is qualified for a good job. With an astonishing end, the book makes you to read on and until the end. Love it. Rating: 4/5………………… Review 7: After quitting her job and relocating to another town, Rachel meets a new friend. Bereaved by her dead husband, Rachel felt the only way to stay alive in her home is to get involved in crime with her friend who had a retired husband. Humor and crime takes center- stage in the story. If you like family life or thriller stories then this novel are for you. You will enjoy it all the way. Engaging- just like it. Rating: 5/5………………. Review 8: Rachel resigned from her job because she was hell tired of it while her husband was retired at the early age. They moved to Oregon to get greener pastures. She met Ruth, the husband to an old for long retired man. Unfortunately, Rachel’s husband passed away just shortly after his retirement. Rachel and Ruth took a step, a very huge step- engaging into a freelance criminal business to get their source of money for living. This story was super engaging and I recommend to all. Rating: 5/5…………..
